City Harvest Church

Been there once and coming from a traditional church like mine, I didn't really like it. Have always been approached to go there but I have always politely turned them down or avoided them if they are really persistent.

Anyway, like all the cynics out there...I am also skeptical about the whole crossover project thing. -_-;

I don't know if deluded, misguided or determined should be the word to describe the people who attends church services there.

Deluded because they are looking at that guy (Kong Hee) just as if he is God/God's missionary on earth and he can do no wrong or if he does something wrong, he is only human , blah blah blah.

Misguided because their faith in the religion which is imparted by Kong Hee's preachings are all they are believing in. Brain washed?

Determined because nothing shakes their faith in the man who may have swindled people's trust in him and abused his position as a Pastor in a Church.

Being a Christian by birth, I can only say, you can blame the people behind this corruption scandal, you can blame the people who created the church and condone/took part in this farce, you can blame the church that has become a tool for the people behind this corruption scandal but don't blame the religion nor the people who believes in the religion, because at the heart of it, what someone believes in is depending on how they interpret it and whether they agree on your interpretation of it.

~Interesting to note however is that when 1 corruption scandal breaks out...tons will follow and be reported on
~When they find 1 body at Bedok Reservoir, tons more will be found and be reported on
~When a boy dies from a teenage gang fight, more will happen/be exposed and be reported on.

Uniquely Singapore.

By the way, just in case you don't know how he looks like as taken from Mr.Brown's Blog...lol
